So has anyone ever been to a ball masquee IRL before?

I've never been to any kind of Ball  :'(

I haven't either, at least not that I can remember, so if I have it can't have been that great right?  :-\

I've been to a couple, long dresses the lot. Never been to a masquerade ball though!

I think they must be out of fashion in my part of the world. I can remember my oldest sister going to a debutante ball. She is lots older than I, so I was very young. What I remember is this beautiful young woman dressed like a fairy in a long, billowing, golden ballgown. And she had gold glitter in her hair. That was in 1956.  ;D

I have never been to a ball either..I'd love to though.

I wonder if my sisters ever went - they were young in the 60's

i wasn't born in the 60's..my parents were only kids then :P 

I was - '65  ;D

 

But my sisters are a lot older than me. I know the 3 oldest had 1 dress and one pair of shoes between them, for special occasions ... must ask them about that.
