Isha stretched his broad back, feeling the cloth of his shirt stretch against it. If he had been holding saidin, he would have likely been able to feel every fibre in the cotton cloth but as it was- without the Power- he felt dull, lifeless.

The training yard around him was full of stuffed manakins- nothing more than a melon on a straw sack. Isha stood in the middle of this 'gathering', sticking out more than he normally did in any crowd.

Finally his student arrived. The boy- he used this term very loosely as it was impossible for this young man to be more than a year or two younger than he. However, with his appearance and all sense of youth long boiled away long ago by hardship and intense training. The boy was slim and hardly came to Isha's shoulder, though few came any where near his almost seven feet.

Isha didn't bother to watch for the boy's reaction to his grotesque appearance and instead cut straight to the point. "I am Attack Leader Isha Talcontar. I trust you've been taught to sieze the Power?"

ooc: since the new training plan was implemented, first touch to saidin hasn't been mandatory, but if you want to RP it that's okay with me, if not we'll get right to the class...

Aslan walked down the road acording to his instructions, it had been a week since he woke up in this place confused. He was still not sure wheter he belived what he had been told or not, though he knew that he had another black hole in his memory for the evening before that day.

Having no where to go Aslan chose to stay, or at least he chose to belive it has been his choise though he wasnt sure if he could have left or not.

Nakor one of those who where said to have found him had thougth him to touch saidin, Aslan had been doubtfull in the begining and it had taken a couple days before he touched it at will for the first time, more days had passed before he could hang on to it.

Now he where going to have his first instructions in how to use it. Aslan looked up on his teacher, he was tall. "I am Attack Leader Isha Talcontar. I trust you've been taught to sieze the Power?"

Aslan nodded, "yes, i've learned it" he waited not sure what more to say.

The big man grunted at the boy's confirmation and took a moment before speaking up again. "Your name?" it was an order, not a request.

Jerking his head towards the manakins, Isha began the lesson in the drill-sergeant manner he always used when teaching. "Today, you are going to learn how to use saidin. As soldiers of the Lord Dragon Reborn-" not that the Dragon had been anywhere near the Tower since Dumai's Wells a long while back "-our primary duty is to protect him. To do this often involved one thing- killing.

"Fire is often used in battle weaves. It is an Element usually stronger in Male Channelers and is incredibly useful. For example:" Isha walked up to one of the manakins and placed his hand on the straw sack- where a man's shoulder would be. He siezed saidin and took a thread of Fire. He wove it round and round until he had a candleflame. Adding a little more Fire, he transfered it to the manakin.

Since the dummy was straw, it immediately began to burn. Turning to Aslan, Isha nodded grimly. "Think you can copy that, boy?"

â€Your name?†Aslan replied giving his name, he was starting to wonder again if he had made the rigth choise, he could but hope that time would tell. †Today, you are going to learn how to use saidin. As soldiers of the Lord Dragon Reborn-" Aslan followed the man, "-our primary duty is to protect him. To do this often involved one thing- killing. Fire is often used in battle weaves. It is an Element usually stronger in Male Channelers and is incredibly useful. For example:" Aslan watched the man walking up to the dummy, what he was talking about was still feeling distant for Aslan, he still had troubles beliving that he could channel, all males where suposed to go mad, he wondered how that would be.

He watched the man making fire, though it was not as much watch, he had dificulty fully describing what he registrered, but he understood or sort of could see what the other was doing. Aslan watched as the dummy caugth fire. "Think you can copy that, boy?"

Aslan took a slow breath and focused to do the rutine that would conect him to saidin. He felt it within reach but also the taint and as he felt saidin flow into him he got that foul taste in his mouth, the only thing that kept him from leting go was the amasing feeling of life as saidin spreading in his body.

Focusing he tried to remember what he had seen and he tried to use saidin, it was a strugle thoug. He found fire but had troubles forming it into the spiral, when he sudenly burned himself, in surprice he lost his touch on saidin. After shaking his fingers and biting in a oath, he fougth to grasp saidin and after another couple of tries he managed to form the flame. Placing it to the dummy he watched as another corner of it took fire.

Isha nodded. "Good. Now put it out." Weaving Water threads together, Isha doused another of the manakins. Water was especially difficult for him, being his weakest element. His incredible strength in Fire and his strength in Spirit were compromised by his shameful weaknesses in both Water and Earth.

"Water tends to be weaker in male channelers and while not as widely used on the battlefield as Fire or Earth, it is a useful Element, especially when travelling on your own."

Another nod was all Aslan got for his accomplishment before Isha barked the next order. "Repeat until all the dummies are gone."

Aslan watched the treads form as his teacher wove them into a weave. He was curios and though the taint was there the feeling of beeing alive where stronger than the feeling of the taint. He still wondered how his life had changed so.

As he started to make the new weave himself he found it easier than the past weave had been and as such got it on fewer tries.

"Repeat until all the dummies are gone."

Aslan continued, slowly geting a bether grip on the fire weave while he found that the water one soon came easily enough for him, untill he could drowse out the last dummy.

Nodding at the accomplishment, Isha moved on again. The boy was getting tired and he would be a whole lot more so once they were finished. Tarmon Gai'don waited on no man and the faster the training, the more ready he would be for the Last Battle. ~If he makes it that far~ Isha shivered and crushed The Voice.

"Now to Spirit. This Element is extremely important as with it you can both Shield and Sever- Gentling in men, Stilling in women." Both Isha and The Voice shivered. "It is also used to strengthen weaves. I often use it to strengthen my Earth and Water weaves as those two are my weakest Elements.

"Now I want you to repeat what you just did using Spirit to strengthen your weaves." Isha demonstrated and watched as Aslan resumed wreaking punishment on the damp dummies.

Aslan studied closely as his teacher showed him how to strengthen the weaves with spirit. Then he tried himself, he soon discovered mixing several treads of difrent types togheter was much harder than using just one element in a weave.

After several tries he finaly managed to get his first weave of towards a dummy, though only after frying his shirt sleve. Even if the drowsing came easier he still needed several atempts also here before he could get it rigth working the two elements togheter. Towards the edge of the flame he could feel the tirement grow, and knew it would wash over him as soon as he let go of the flame and void, if he didnt loose it before that.

It took its time to finish of the dummies and get the weave straigth, but in the end he did it though he wondered how.

Satisfied, Isha stopped Aslan and then motioned over to where he had set a pitcher of ale and two bowls of stew on a table of Air. Motioning for the boy to join him, Isha drew deeply on the Power and used Earth strengthened by Spirit to pull two chairs out of the ground. Pouring a glass for each of them Isha set into his stew.

Wiping his mouth, the big man spoke again. “Next, we’ll move on to Earth. Earth, much like Fire, is an excellent Element for battle and is usually Stronger in men than women. Did you notice how I used the very ground upon which we stood to form these chairs?†A nod. “Do you think you could duplicate the weave? Making something much smaller of course. The less intricate, the easier it will be.â€

Aslan followed Isha to a table, or so he guessed it was, he couldnt see it as much as feel there beeing a weave and glasses and plates where standing in the air. He watched as his teacher wove a new weave and cairs rose up of the earth.

Sitting down Aslan started to dig into the stew, he didnt enterily trust the chairs anbut tried to not think of it. He sipped on the sweet homemade ale.

“Next, we’ll move on to Earth. Earth, much like Fire, is an excellent Element for battle and is usually Stronger in men than women. Did you notice how I used the very ground upon which we stood to form these chairs?†Aslan nodded that he had. “Do you think you could duplicate the weave? Making something much smaller of course. The less intricate, the easier it will be.â€

Grasping for saidin he started making out the treads needed and shaped them as best he could into a litle brick, trying to raise it he failed the first couple times but slowly the earth started to rise under his manipulation.

Aslan recieved a hard slap on the back for his work- which nearly knocked the smaller man over. "And now to finish off, Air! Air, like Water is usually stronger in female channelers and can be used in conjunction with many other Elements- though rarely with Earth.

"Now watch." First using Earth, Isha made a ball of mud and then with threads of Air flung it at one of the remaining dummies. "Enjoy yourself." The big man said with a grin.

Aslan stumbled forward and felt a swirling feeling as if he where to pass outthen it went black.

Blinking Jakar turned at the voice catching what was said. He remebered comig here a late evning after meeting up with some ohers, and some of the talk, he registrered what this big brute in front of him where saying and then sudenly felt a tingeling sence, he saw a ball of mud form.

He didnt know how but it was as if he could see or sence what was done, but how to do it himself, there had been something about a flame, forming one in his mind he tried to remember what had been said on the way here. Though as he did he also kept an eye on the man from the corner of his eye, this was a stranger to him and he didnt trust strangers, he had been asured safety here though and it seemed this was sort of a lesson.

The fact that it was day he found disturbing, then he remembered something of feeding emotions into flames, yes that had been it, trying it he sudenly could sence in his inner something pulsing on the edge of the flame, something he was drawn too. Jakar but knew it would be good to touch it and when it flooded into him he was amased, for a moment he lost consentration but then remembered the man, with the new focus the feeling sliped away. However nothing was changed and he searched for the flame again, this time it came easier, but how to make that ball of mud, he had seen it but not fully understood it, the tread had tingled with green.

Looking around himself he saw a stick, there had been another tread of yellow, and the man had talked of air. Air like the wind, it was something he liked, rain and wind made him feel alive, if he could use the air then he could move the stick with it as the man had with that ball of mud. Turning to the doll he felt the pulse rage inside him, druming in his ears, it was so much like a strong river that you needed to figth or drown in, he wasnt sure he could control it but his instinct for survival kept him figthing it.

Focusing on the dummie he savoured the feeling, he felt so alive, he could hear and see clearer, smell bether, he imagined how the stick best would come to use flying up of the earth and into the dummie penetrating it. It would be as those stupid men that attaced him, he had killed them too, and the image of one of their faces came to life for him as he looked at the dummie, but instead of the knife he envisioned how a stick was spining through the air stricking towards the man like an arrow. And another, the heart the lounges the stumock...fire raged in Jakar, he didnt need figth he could ride the river he was sure, be part of strong and crushing, kill them all till he would be left alone....

ooc though i would add something interesting to it...feel free to intersept and shield him or whatever to bring him down to earth again before he hurts himself to badly *grins*

Surprise stayed Isha's hand for a moment but when he recovered his wits, he slammed a Shield between Aslan and the Source. "What in the Pit of Doom was that?" He glanced at the dummy-turned-pincushion. "I admire your zeal but..." Isha trailed off, not sure of what to say next.

Shaking his head, Isha simply told the boy he was dismissed.

One moment fire and life raged through him the other it was gone and Jakar felt shocked at the emptyness, he could still feel Saidin but there where something between it and him. He breathed hard in trying to gather himself, it felt like a storm had torn through him and then left again. "What in the Pit of Doom was that?" Jakar looked up and slowly present was coming back at him, "I admire your zeal but..."

Looking back to the dummy he where surpriced, then he got told the class was over. The hindrance where gone but something in him told him it would be dangerous to touch saidin now, it was to sweet and he was wise enough to see that it had been out of his control. Walking away silently he tried to push the thougth of it away as he felt a headache growing, he felt tired and sat down against a tree falling asleep.
