Kynwric watched and commented on each students progress and failures as they worked their way through the forms. He glance at the sky and calculated the remaining sunlight left in the day and decided that was enough for today. When they had all seemingly grasped the basics of the forms he called a halt.

"You all seem to have a decent grasp of the forms, we'll pick this up three days hence. Practice, carry the lathes, practice the forms and most of all think. Think now so you don't have to in battle. You're dismissed."

Kynwric waited to see if anyone had any questions for him directly.

OOC: Homework is: Training montage!

Sandre stayed after awhile to learn how to step in a battle. While learning to swing the weapon was all fine well and good what if the opponent didnt stand still? It took some doing but eventually he got the basics of movement. He wasnt sure if it would be covered in class in three days.

Sandre used his three days to train hard. He still had to work out and that was fine but it was now almost impossible to separate him from his sword. Looking back on the training a few memories stuck out in his mind.

His first was that Dagyn and Balan, who were his new room mates took, weapons that almost seemed to fit their personality as well as their body type. He smiled at the thought of comparing trainees he had seen around's personalities to their weapon choice.

He recalled how fast he tired and saw another student, Davian was it? Who also seemed to tire quickly. Since they were both at about the same level he figured he might ask the guy for some company while training some time. Always better when you have someone to take your mind off the exercise aspect of it.

Phinn he recalled looked as though she were already comfortable with those blades she carried. It made him wonder how she got that way if weapons training just started.

All in all his memories were good. He found that he got a rush from training and had wondered what sparring would be like. It was also a way to channel his anger out which he desperately needed. However at the amount of time he was spending practicing in his three days he would be lucky to be able to move his arms again when his three days were up.

OOC I thought the montage thing was a joke... I hope this is ok for a verbal montage of Sandre's memories

IC: Phinn's three days of practice and exercise where tiring...but rewarding.

Phinn would start out with her cardio exercise in the morning...running and jogging. She would also do some stomach crunched and weight baring. After that She would Practice her throwing, witch she was best with at this point in time. At some point in the day she could always find someone to spar with...and give her tips on how to move and the forms.

There where times when Phinn felt clumsy and slow...but she knew she would improve. It was just a matter of time.

Irian was feeling a bit tired after the exercises. Though he was used to using his muscles moving heavy crates -- and drunk patrons -- around handling a weapon seemed like another thing entirely. His wrists hurt, and he felt as if the amount of callous on his palms had doubled since this morning, but he was also determined to keep at it. The swings were easy, but that thrusting movement was still something that ended up quite a bit less accurate than he'd hoped for.

Thus, the three days after that he practised his accuracy on a poor training dummy, allowing him to adjust the forms he had learned to be used against smaller opponents. Thrusts were ideal, as getting a swing to connect in more or less the spot he was aiming for was easier in comparison. Three days later, his grip on the weapon had increased substantially, and he felt confident he would be able to keep a hold of the weapon if Kynwric would be teaching them some new thrusting forms.

Improved his accuracy... somewhat

On the next day that all were to gather Kyn was up and in the yards on right on time. He was pleased to see that the entirety of his class was all ready on time. He gathered his lathe and settled in in front of everyone. "Quick review. Perform the form as I call it out." He waited a moment and then began, "<i>Leopard in a Tree, Unfolding the Fan, Lion on a Hill, Arc of the Moon, Lion on a Hill, The Courtier Taps His Fan, Lion on a Hill, The Kingfisher Takes a Silverback, Lion on a Hill</i> and <i>Folding the Fan</i>." Kyn took in the positions of all of them as they performed the forms and nodded. "Good, keep practicing them... every day. Now we'll move on. Next is <i>The Falcon Stoops</i>." Kyn fell through <i>Leopard in a Tree, Unfolding the Fan</i> and <i>Lion on the Hill</i> in rapid succession and began what appeared to be a shorter and harder version of <i>Kingfisher Takes a Silverback</i>. he repeated it again and asked them to perform it. "Begin. Slowly at first and then faster."

Eventually they moved on to <i>Parting the Silk</i> and then <i>Hummingbird Kisses the Honeyrose</i>. Following that he called Phinn forward. "Do <i>Hummingbird Kisses the Honeyrose</i>, aim for my face as if it were a fight." Phinn did so tentatively at first and Kyn swatted it away. "Like you mean it child." Adding some sarcasm into his voice to provoke the reaction, it worked and the thrust came hard and fast this time and Kyn swirled his lathe around the Phinn's. This sent the trainee's blade into the air and a few feet away. "<i>The Grapevine Twines</i>. Very useful for disarming an aggressive thrust." Quickly he returned to <i>Lion on a Hill</i> and began to speak. "Finally there is <i>Heron Wading in the Rushes</i>, and while it looks fancy it is a death sentence if you use it in real combat. It is only meant for practicing balance and only use it thus." He performed the one-footed spinning slash. Once he was certain they all understood he said simply "Practice." And he watched, providing corrections and answering questions as they went.

OOC: Sorry for the delay folks, just needed to get my muse back for this. Just do the above forms, ask any questions and we're done.

The process of moving faster was not going well for Sandre. He was underweight for his age and height and tired quickly. He should have some color from his Shienaran blood but was pasty white from being indoors and reading all the time. He felt conscious of all this as he was not able to move as fast as the rest of the class. It was just too obvious where he came from.

Sandre watched in awe at the next moves. He calculated everything he could about it and memorized it as though it were written in stone. He was still having trouble compensating for his own disproportionate size but a few corrections by Master Kynwric and he had it done correctly a few times. He wasnt sure if was speaking out of place when he told Kynwric "Thank you." after all his corrections.

Parting the silk he eventually managed to a degree but not as well as the rest of the class. Hummingbird Kisses the Honeyrose he felt would be effective with the weapon he had chosen but he needed some work. The Grapevine Twists was the one that he felt he could perform better than the majority of his class in that he was able to memorize the motion and the snap of the wrist involved was practiced from hours spent writing. Then there was Heron Wading in the Rushes. Well he did his best but most often ended up falling to the ground. He had no sense of balance at all it seemed.

It took a few more corrections but eventually he got to a point where it would be safe to practice on his own.
