I thank the person(s) that took off the porn thread on this site. I appreciate a site where we can have discussions and fun without having to be bombarded with that stuff. I don't have a problem with people looking at that stuff as long as they are of age and they keep it away from minors, but please not on this site.

I apologize if I sound preachy that wasn't my intent, I'm just glad it's off in case my kids get on my computer.

Thanks

Yeah, we've been getting bombarded a bit recently, and the admins are trying to block them all, in the mean time we will get rid of any that slip through as quickly as we can.

Stupid question maybe, but I used the 'report' buton.

But while I did, I wondered if it actually helped to get rid of it easier or faster?

Or is it just a 'heads up', that spams your PM boxes when more then one forum-user reports the same thread?

In other words; does it actually help any of you mods at all..?

Do you want us regulars helping out.. or do you guys tackle these threads easy enough without 'reports'.

I ask this because the holiday season is comming and that usually means more of this crap.

just a hint though, next time don't post in those threads, you are just bumping it.

Simply report and let it die.

I appreciate the wish to help out, but it really does not help us very much. This because if you use the report-function, it only goes to some admins, and not to us mods who are doing the daily groundwork. And if we are doing our job, we should spot spambots quicker, and deal with them.

If a thread has been up for quite some time, and you really think we must be alerted, shoot me or Luckers a pm, that is the fastest way to get something done. But please remember that we are human beings with lives outside DM, and also some need for things like sleep and such ;D

Hear Hear!  If it wasn't for the DM Staff keeping us from each other's throats with all of our opinions and debates, I'm sure bloodshed would have occured by now! :D

The day we staff members figure out how to cause actual bloodshed online, you guys are in so much trouble ;D

But seriously: it's a pity you have to waste your time with rubbish like that, but thanks for doing it  :)
