so what all plan to do tomorow then? stuff with turkey or?

They don't celebrate Thanksgiving over here, but thanks anyway ;)

We have Sinterklaas on Dec 5th though, good 'ole patron saint of sailors, beggars and prostitutes. But mostly just another excuse to give each other presents pretending Black Pete climbed down the chimney with them ;D

we do advent, but yeah i am across statewise this year so got to do thanksgiving, we had several turkeys...done in different ways...smoked, original and deepfried or something

Some of my friends from high school decided to have a Thanksgiving dinner last night, so I went down to London to join them.  It was a lovely evening, and only slightly more British than American.  The non-Americans enjoyed getting a very nice Christmas-like meal, and in general, sharing a sense of family and thankfulness for an evening.  It was all very nice, and I have pie to eat later! *grins*

sounds nice raeyn, and maybe for you tig ;) but not where i am

See Liitha, the Canadians have it a month or so earlier than the Americans.  Why?  Perhaps so people who are often on both sides of the border can have twice the turkey.  Maybe they just want to feel cooler by having it first.  The world may never know!

Or maybe we don't want all our major holidays squished into a month's time! >.< :P

hehe someone is about to get their first advent :P, with ligthing candles every sunday

My early thanksgiving the tuesday before was amazing, bunch of friends who decided since we'd all be with our families on the real turkey day, we'd have one of our own, didn't have anything to do the next day so we all stayed there.

Never playing truth or dare with them again. >_>;
