Hello im new to message posts or whatever u call this,,, I would like to share a dream I had it was somewhere after i read lord of chaos .

      forgive my bad grammar.

 

I was dreaming of tel'aran'rhoid  i was asleep and  because i just read about egwene dreaming, i did to.

I drempt I was in a great hall, on the end there was a golden throne,there were many people, but there was only one who stood out.

As I walked tword him i started to see around his aura.

I looked rand althor in the blue/gray eye , i could feel the power in him and he asked me who i was .

The dream promptly ended with me waking myself up scared sensless of his power.

 

Haha! That's pretty awesome! I haven't had any WoT related dreams(Not that I'd remember them if I did. I sleep too deeply. :P), but I've had a couple odd ones about people I met on the forums. :D But we shant go into detail. :P

Hmm... We seem to sleep in much the same way then Tigs, it's just a blank until i start waking up.

 

Had one about an old roleplay i was in though, not THAT one would be nice to make you wonder whether you just went crazy. ;D

It would seem RJ did such a good job writeing the books that you really cant STOP seeing the pitures in the book even after you stop reading for the night....Who needs a movie when you can dream the books  ;D

Exactly, and the best part is that even people in the books dream about them: RJ calls them Dreamwalkers ;D

Yes all deep sleepers post here. It is a VERY rare occasion for me to remember any dream. I will remember maybe like 1 every six months or so. And when I do remember them.... well lets just say they are often scary and/or weird.

Meh, I dont sleep very deep, I just rarely dream because my mind just dosnt actualy STOP deaming, so wouldnt that make a dream just a normal thought for me? Eh, tis the life of someone with a very active imagination, but I am off track. I fear a cult of dreamwalkers is about to spawn from this post  :D

*takes deep breath* Okay, here goes...

 

Now, backstory wise, i should let you know the very first forum RP i was in was called Flaming Scrolls. It was a single thread, unmoderated, and the five people in it (including myself) had no previous experience whatsoever. The setting was medieval fantasy, and the party consisted of a half-mithra android, a heroic warrior we all nicknamed 'Berserker King' due to his tendency to charge in without thinking, a small dragon (that often outsmarted the warrior even though it couldn't speak, in later threads it grew up and became a mount) and more anime referrences than was considered healthy for ANY setting.

 

In all, we had mad fun ;D

 

Anyway, my dream.

 

I dreamt i was being called to the mayor's house, they were having a problem. Some scientists kidnapped all the women in the world and held them captive in a big factory, and for some vague reason they told me only i could save them. I didn't have any special powers or anything, but they semeed to think i was their best choice to negotiate, so i shrugged and walked towards the factory, a large amount of people standing at a safe distance watching me try to save the women.

 

In the factory, i see Eikichi (one of the characters in FS) wearing his usual black clothes, and a white labcoat over it. So, i'm all relaxed, casually ask him why he kidnapped all the women in the world. He turns to me with a somewhat crazy look in his eyes, and starts to speak.

 

Turned out, he invented a machine that could control the weather. But when he had tried to present his invention, all the other scientists laughed at him, telling him he was crazy and that it couldn't be done. Well, he'd show them! He kidnapped all the women in the world, to turn them into ONE BIG (emphasized) snowflake! And then, they'd all see that he was telling the truth. No one would ever laugh at him again! MUAHAHAA!!

 

So while he was giving me a tour of the facility, i notice a large conveyor belt with women standing on it, chatting and gossiping with each other as if nothing out of the ordinary was going on. They were standing together in groups of three or four, and i felt somewhat annoyed at their gossiping, to be honest. There were plexiglass walls on both sides of the belt to keep them from stepping off, and it led into a large ACME-style machine that i guessed would be the weather machine he had built. I noticed one of the women looking around, essentially being the only one noticing something was wrong, and somehow recognised her as Sharper (account name of another player, and yes, she's female irl). I think to myself "Hey, i'll remember what she looks like, should be fun telling her about it on MSN.", but then i remember what i came there to do. So i start talking to Eikichi to talk him out of it.

 

Me - "So umm... Are you planning to let them go?"

 

Eikichi - "No! I need to turn them into ONE BIG snowflake!"

 

Me - "Awwh, come on, at least let Sharper go. We need her for Flaming Scrolls."

 

Eikichi - "Well that's true... Okay, but just her!"

 

Me - "Deal."

 

A hidden door in the plexiglass wall opened, and Sharper jumped off of the conveyor belt. As i left the facility with her, the people that had sent me in were all cheering at that i managed to talk him out of it. As behind me the sound of a large machine starting up was heard coming from the factory, i woke up.

 

Now, the BEST part is when i contacted the other players on MSN with my dream. I told Sharper in detail what she looked like in my dream, and it turned out i was right, too. Height, build, hair color and length (small of her back), clothes right down to the type and color of her shoes... All right. Only two things i had wrong were the color of her shirt and something else i can't recall atm. Note that i live in Holland, and she lives in Canada, and we never saw each other irl :P

 

So yeah... Beat that ;D

very interesting that u knew who she was crazy ,I my self dream all the time i have died in several dreams , other things i noticed long ago is sometimes i can realise that i am dreaming , then i can control them almost completley , i have flown, used telekenis, in some dreams using this technique, the flying dreams seem always plaged by tornados and storms , such.

curious as to anyothers have dreamed bout the books i want to see if my picture of rand is same  ,

I looked into the dragon reborns face it was strange because rand is good guy but i was afraid and immediatly woke my self was sort of afraid of him , would have liked to ask him a few questions lol,

 

as for the roleplay i havent tried that b4 i played a WOT mod on neverwinter nights before

There's a WOT mod on NWN? First or second game?

 

Had great fun with that game... Ended up with a Monk build that soloed Klauth (be it with some specialised equipment). Also, did you know that in HotU, if you paused the game before the Valsharess hits the ground (and Meph breaks free) you can loot her corpse while the game's still paused if you're in melee range? And that Valen (the half-fiend companion) can actually wear that dominatrix suit of hers? XD

Never played NWN, though I do know there is a WOT mod for one of the Elder Scrolls games, I think its oblivion.

 

I think that your picture of Rand is close, though we can never be sure what he would really look like, what we see him like depends on the mind that is seeing him  :P

Yes there are a lot of mods or for NWN1 the first my pc cant run the second so i havent tried it , in one mod there was a large community , its been about a year or so since i checked in there and the NWN2 came out , anyway in that mod i was in several factions i was a shadowdancer and ranger mix , then i met this darkfriend and he talked me into becoming one , my mission was to also join the band of the red hand was very fun , the band never found out i was a spy hehe

sorry forgot to ask about the battle dream would love details if u have time .

also is that the battle where rand is in the chest and loioa kicks major butt?

Share? Ok, but it was half I was asleep and half a daydream in class xD But such is life is it not?

 

Anyway, a little backs story first. It was right after RJ died, and me and my brother had been talking about what we would do if we could make a WoT game (Which we still wish we could xD) and we talked in lenght about putting famous battles in as battlegrounds or perhaps as the first thing the players would go thought. Anyway, we talked in lenght about the battle of Manetheren being the battle for the two rivers (The races would be split into the diffrent countries like Andor and so forth) anyway, I went to school the next day and fell asleep during my 2 or so hour lunch break (Dosnt privat school rock?) had a dream about the battle and then day dreamed the rest of the time on it.

 

AND NOW.....the battle that is in the mind.

 

In the dream I stood upon the hill overlooking the riven Mantethrendrell, before me streached the army of Shadowspawn, dispite the fact that this would scare me to death it was kinda cool to be in the battle in a sorta "Oh, well I'm dead" kinda way. Around me streached the army of Manethren. For about a half moment nothing really interesting happend, then the charge started, and I found myself running down into hte ranks of Trollocs. So ends the Asleep part, really for the rest of the day after that I just day dreamed my way to the end of the battle were Manethren was beaten back to their little hill.

 

 

Crazyness isnt it? Oh well, there is what I think I dreamed of. I could be wrong for I cannot always remeber all my dreams.
