Is CW still the Frog?  Do we just refer to it as the Dub now?

Anyway, not sure if you guys read the series or not, but here is the news.

With vampires all the rage again, The CW looks to be trying to cash in on the trend with the struggling network has picked up a pilot based on L.J. Smith's "Vampire Diaries" book series according to Variety.

Originally published in 1993, "Vampire Diaries" revolves around a young woman whose torn between two vampire brothers. The brothers -- one good, one evil -- are battling for her soul, and the souls of her pals, family and the small town where they live.

'Diaries' book producer Alloy Entertainment also publishes the book series which the network's talked about "Gossip Girl" show is based on.

Kevin Williamson ("Scream," "Dawon's Creek") and Julie Plec ("Kyle XY") will executive produce and write.
