Sandre smiled. "You will though. I dont think I should let you off. I would only have to duel you again and I am not sure your in any shape to do that at the moment." He looked straight faced at her then. "I will let you off the second part of that bet if you want though... You are... beautiful and I would certainly like it... but I dont want to make you do something you dont want to either." He hoped she wouldnt want to be released from the second part but he completely understood too. (Im not sure I would want to do that in front of me either. I told her how I felt though.)

He kissed her hand. They had plenty of time to go as far as they wanted to. He was happy just sitting back and letting her decide when she was ready for what. He was nervous about it himself. As long as she was his though there was no rush. "Can you walk to your room? If not I can carry you again" He grinned. No way she would let him get away with that even if she would enjoy it.

Edana hadn't really expected him to let her off the hook, so she wasn't surprised. She blushed at his mention of the second part of their bet, looking away. Was she blushing because she as embarassed about it, or because she'd thought of it more than once herself? She shivered as his lips brushed her hand and cleared her throat.

"Can you walk to your room? If not I can carry you again," She had to stop blushing! She fought it off, turning her eyes to him as she defiantly twisted her legs off the bed and stood up. She wobbled a little, but caught herself. It was graceful enough, if you ignored the whole nearly falling at his feet like a heap of laundry, that is! She tossed her hair out of her eyes and stood back up. "I can make it on my own," she said. She moved slowly and cursed with each step, but she started out of the infirmary. "Besides, I'm still wondering how far you'll go with this taking care of me stuff. Does that mean you'll go fetch me lunch when I get hungry?" She grinned as she turned the corner...

As he watched her attempts at walking he was making a bet in his own mind about her making it to the room... well she wasnt going to like the next part when she got there. It would be his room since she had a bunk and was not likely to be able to get on her own. "Besides, I'm still wondering how far you'll go with this taking care of me stuff. Does that mean you'll go fetch me lunch when I get hungry?"

"Yes.. get you lunch, read to you, give you a massage... whatever you want" He didnt have to look at her to know she was blushing. She was head of him anyways. Lately he liked making her blush he realized.

When they got to the rooms she started to head towards her own room. "My room Dear... you have a bunk. You may make it to the room but your not going to make it up the bunk. I would have to push you up by your bottom." That would get her. "My bed smells like... well me... but its clean and my room mates are never there except to sleep"

Her cheeks burned and she was glad he was behind her. She vowed to keep him there until he stopped making her blush. The thought of a massage was wonderful, she'd had a few medicinal massages in the past. She doubted he'd let her stay dressed for it. It was then she wondered if he knew the affect he was having on her and sought to push the advantage. It was a curious thought and she vowed to push back. She only prayed she could do it without blushing!

She started towards her room and pulled up short, hearing him behind her. "My room Dear... you have a bunk. You may make it to the room but your not going to make it up the bunk. I would have to push you up by your bottom." She had to admit that she didn't have the energy to climb up onto her bunk. She sighed and turned towards his room, instead. She didn't have the energy to argue, anyway. She smiled. Did he consider the bed smelling like him a bad thing? Even after their spar in the Yard, she still got a hint of pine every time she got close to him.

"I'll find some way to hold my breath and not suffocate," she tossed back at him. She entered his room, remembering it from the last time she'd been in here. "Is it ironic that you were the one flat on your back the last time I was in this room?"

(Did she mean it about the smell of the bed?) He shook his head and decided not to bother dwelling on it. "Do you want me to retrieve some sort of sleeping attire or just turn around?" He would be learning something about her now. "I can get that for you or just go get you some food... its up to you. Unless you need help changing?" He grinned to let he know it was a joke. She was much too shy about the subject for that.

"Im at your command my Dear."

She felt a crazy urge to tease him, so she sat down and unlaced her boots. "Did the infirmary demand I lay about all day, then? Or is that just your own nursing habits?" She smiled, leaning back on her elbows. "And to answer your unspoken question, I usually sleep in a clean shirt, but I don't have one handy. If you'd like to go grab one, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I can always borrow one of yours if you've had one you'd loan me..."

She tilted her head, waiting to see what he'd do. Sure, she usually slept in a pair of breeches, too. But if losing them paid him back for all of his teasing, he deserved it. She'd just have to go to some pretty awesome lengths to avoid flashing the puckered scar on her thigh. She was pretty sure he'd give her grief if he realized that she'd had it since she walked in the Yards and hadn't had it taken care of. Of course, he had a few scars that the Infirmary didn't know about, too, so she could always use them as bait to make him keep quiet...

He smiled back at her Of course he had extra shirts. reaching into the chest at the end of the bed he had a choice between a black silk and a white silk that was thinner for warm days. She probably had it in her head to tease him back so he went with the white silk shirt. If she intended to tease him it would have to be in a shirt that left nothing to the imagination. Besides... it was softer anyways. (Not as soft as she is though.)Perhaps she would stay covered up when she saw it. That would certainly put an early end to her attempts.

"Here you go." he said as he handed it to her. Kissing her so she wouldnt notice immediately how thin it was. He then acted like nothing was wrong as he set about pouring hot water in a wash basin for her. She didnt need it but it might refresh her.

He then waited for her to tell him to turn around or go do something. He wasnt about to give her a point in this little game by turning around himself. So he stood there while she held the shirt looking her in the eyes and waiting on her. With a rogueish grin...

Edana waited on him to turn around, her cheeks still flaming from that kiss. She was running out of energy to banter like this and ran her fingers over the shirt in her lap as she waited for him to move. It was very lovely under her fingers, but she wasn't suffering any delusions. She knew why he'd picked this shirt and groaned inwardly as she considered her options. "I can't wear this, Sandre, not to lay around in bed all day. It'll be a wreck!" She shook her head, not relinquishing the shirt. The faint hint of pine tickled her nose and she wasn't sure if it was the shirt or the bed. She wasn't willing to let go of either, though. "There is a cotton shirt in my trunk, Elyan may be swinging in between his chores, so he can tell you which one is mine."

She closed her eyes and leaned back, laying her head down as she felt her energy sapping. How had she made it all the way here without falling on her face? She'd like to just roll over and let herself sleep, but she was sure lamenting the lack of a bath would only make Sandre go fetch a hip tub so she could get one. Or volunteering to help her do that, too. Her cheeks burned just thinking about it. No, a clean shirt would have to do. She hadn't heard him move, though. She lifted her eyes and looked at him, still standing where he'd been. "Please?" She asked softly.

~Edana

He could only laugh at the response to the shirt and smile at her blushes before he picked the black one out of the trunk. "You can consider this one too while I go get yours out of the trunk. We know it fits... you've wore this one before."

He walked out to her room next door and walked in. Seldom were doors locked. He knew where Ibram slept and found which bunk was empty to eliminate another chest. The cloak hanging on one bunk made it Elyan's so after that Edana's was easy to find.

He felt bad for her. She seemed so tired. He was determined to get her to eat and though he had not told her yet he knew how to make her sleep too. He considered a massage but after food he was not sure she would be awake long enough. However he planned to lay down beside her... clothed of course. (Lets see her fight lounging around then.)

He returned with the shirt to his room.

Edana shook her head, but held the shirts in her arms. She closed her eyes again, waiting to hear him next door. She couldn't hear anything through the wall, though and sighed, rolling on to her side and curling up. She'd heard that Healing was exhausting for the patient as much as the Aes Sedai, but she couldn't remember ever being this tired before. At least her ribs didn't hurt, anymore, though. She gingerly touched her ribs, her wrist and a few other places along her body, sighing gratefully when no pain met her fingertips.

Once her mini-inspection was done, she let herself relax a little. She was asleep by the time Sandre came back in, a fact that would've bothered her if she'd have been awake to complain about it...

~Edana

When he arrived back in the room and saw her asleep he almost cursed himself for not getting food first. This would delay the recovery. (Again she makes you lose your head Sandre.) She looked peaceful sleeping there. With both shirts curled up in her arms and held up to her face (Did she fall asleep smelling the pine that permeates the room?) It was a side effect of the soap he used... kept wounds from getting infected pretty well but it sure could make a room smell like a forest.

She didnt even wake when he moved the covers back and placed her under them. He quickly changed his clothes crawled in bed with her. He was almost full dressed, minus boots. He didnt want her to get the wrong idea. He was almost as tired as she was. He never realized how much worry could wear someone out.

Wrapping her up in his arms she felt cold. The whole room was cold though. Except for him of course.

"Do you remember the fire in the clearing my love? You were soaked. We had just met and we mixed like the water that you were covered in. Touch had an effect on ourselves and each other we never expected. Wounds were healed. Rest well. I am here to heal you again." It was all said in whispers as he drifted off to sleep.
