wasn't it because of the giant fire ball to the face that also burnt off the hand?!

Either of them or a combination of them might have been the cause.

Pretty sure it was the fire ball he tried to stop by waving his hand in front of it, guess he thought he was darth vader.

It was the giant flaming fire ball of flame which has impaired his vision.

The dizziness, vomiting, inability to grasp Saidin, and seeing Moridin's face are all part of the balefire beams crossing.

And seeing the colors when he thinks of Mat and Perrin are most likely do to being Ta'veren and the Last Battle coming.

It was indeed the fireball that Semirhage threw exploding right in front of Rands face that damaged his sight. If Min hadnt tagged along, Rand could have dodged aside and he would have been fine, but I like the damage Semirhage caused.

I don't . can't say why but didn't like the whole he lost a hand. Seems like it was put in just to show us how cold and numb inside Rand has become. Besides at the rate Rand is going he won't be in any shape to fight with getting sick, hole in side, no hand, bad eyesight, seeing Mordin's face, having an insane persen in his head, and seeing Mat and Perrin.
