Carina's mother used to be a Blue Aes Sedai, before she burned herself up in a fight in the Blight defending other sisters and such. Then left to live a secluded life with her Warder/Husband in Baerlon. Carlina knows nothing of her parent's past, as they both died when she was 5. Her mom succumbed to the loss of Saidar and her father succumbed to the loss of his wife, though they managed to hang on for quite some time due to the love they had for each other, their surroundings and later their child. Carina is the spitting image of her mum and it was a Blue sister that recognised the look in her which caused her to want to test the girl. That then lead to Carina being sent to the Tower to become a Novice. She herself only learned that she was adopted when she reached the age of 10 and was sent to a Malkieren household. Neither the Blue sister nore the MoN have informed the girl of any of this, however, and she is living with a constant feeling of emptiness and confusion because of it.

 

I'd like to flesh that element of my character out a bit more, so was thinking the best way to do that would be with a Blue that is old enough that she would have known her mother. Maybe even known or was present during that fight in teh Blight or knew of it.

 

Of course it doesn't have to be a Blue, but I figured it might be the more obvious choice. I'm not at all yet sure where Carina will herself end up eventually, I'm not making up my mind on that but am letting the story kinda' roll on it's own and see where it takes us.

 

Anyone from the Blues that feel up for this? :)
