Hi, i've been lurking around the forums for a bit.  I've been reading Wheel of Time for two years now and recently finished Knife of Dreams.  I heard about Robert Jordan's passing and I would like to send my regards to the Mrs. Jordan.  I heard a Brandon Sanderson will be finishing up the last book.  I have never heard of him, but wish him luck on a task I wouldn't trust myself with.

There's not many people around my home that have even heard of this epic tale akin to that of Tolkien.  And I was wondering if I was alone in the world!!!

anyways, here I am, and I hope to have fun and meet all sorts of people. :)

Brandon was a fairly small writer still before he picked up Wheel of Time, and many hadn't heard of him before, myself included. Having since read some of his work, I'd like to say that I am thoroughly impressed with his writing, and I'm sure he'll do great with the books, and having met him last September at DragonCon, I stand by that statement.

Welcome to Dragonmount  ;D It is indeed a good place to go if you want more people to talk to about the Wheel of Time. And the book discusion are a good place to go for that, or the general chat in wheel of time for all the conspiracy theories.

But, there is more to DM then just  that, there are the orgs which are like large theamed clubs, and the Divisions, which host the RP of the site.

Again, welcome to DM, if you have any questions, feel free to drop me or barm a pm, otherwise have fun storming the mount.

Welcome, Tim.  Pretty much everything Barmacral said, except I haven't met Sanderson.  I trust it is in good hands.

I know the feeling of having no one to talk to about WoT.  No need to look any further. :)

Ditto what Winterwinds stated.  Jump around, get to know the ORGs.  Try new things, or whatever you want.  Or something.  Sorry, I'm not all together right now.

Basically, have fun, and don't be a stranger. ;D

Welcome to DM, Tim!

There is a large world of WoT fans out there...I have even seen a few people read the series on the London Underground. Rare moments, but they do exist! I was also quite lucky that two of my friends from uni had read the series as well.

Anyway, have a good look about the boards, and I am sure you will find something that is up your street! :)

Thanks, everyone, for the welcoming.

I can't imagine the preassure Mr. Sanderson is under.  I give him my full support.

omg... yes. Notes, pop-up reminders, phone call services... friends who watch my backside.

I have to have a sticky note on my bedside table to read the sticky note in the bathroom that directs me to more stickies. Like bread crumbs.

some call me... Tim?

Welcome man, try not to get lost. I still haven't figured everything out.

Also be careful, some of the personalities here are addicting

Enjoy yourself and welcome
