So i'm sitting here stewing about this "leaked news" about AMOL being released in 3 volumes, over 3 years, only in paperback, and the cover art sucks, etc etc etc.

TOR planned on making an announcement next week about these "rumors".

 

Could that announcement have come on.........Wednesday???

If you really stop to think about it, given everything we've been lead to believe up until this point with the release of AMOL, it really is set up as a proper good April Fools Joke that could be shortly followed by a mind-blowing and wonderful announcement that the whole book will be ready for release in HC by the end of 09.

Since it is only March 26, at least in my hemisphere, that would be the worst executed April Fool's Day joke ever ...

Yeah you pull the joke ON april first not the week before, I don't think Tor or the Jordan estate or Brandon even have that kind of sense of humor to do that to us.

Besides, there is a fine line between joking around and being cruel...

word on either Tor.com or Brandon's blog is that the official announcement is going to be on Monday, the 30th.

It seems doubtful to me that the paperback version would be 3 (or more) books.  Sanderson estimates the final word count to be 700k (650k through 750k).  That could easily be 2 books.
