Something wrong in Crown of Swords?

Featured Replies

Well I was just reading through the books again for the nth time, and I stumbled across the shadar logoth fight scene and noticed something that didn't look right...when rand opens the gateway to shadar logoth, it mentions him seeing the sun through the gateway and the broken roof of a palace, yet not even half a page later it mentions mashadar creeping out of one of the buildings...I couldn't reconcile the 2 statements since mashadar can only come out at night, and he wrote the rest of the scenes as if it might be night, but then again, am I reading it wrong or is this an error?

maybe this has been discussed already I dunno...just wanted some clarification...

Though out that scene the sun goes down. It was nearing sun down when the invasion of Illian began. So by the time Moridin helped Rand the sun was already setting.

From how the sun is described ("the sun was a slightly thicker slice of red"), I take that the time was evening which tells that night was close.

From what comes after, I take that Rand spent some time there; it could have been probable that it would have become night in that time.
