I think the latter was addressed in the still-active Farstrider thread. He's in his 70's, I think.

65, at a minimum, and probably in his 70's.  He was already famous in 955 when he captured Cowin Fairheart.  That was 45 years before current events.

We don't know his exact age, but unless he was a teen when he captured Fairheart (and I know it says he was young, but I doubt he was THAT young) then he is at least 65 years old.  955 NE - 20 years means he was born in or before 935 NE, and it is now 1000 NE, so, 1000-935=65.  If he was any older than 20 at the time he went after Fairheart, then he is older than 65, but I think 65 is a reasonable minimum.
