Hitchcock

You lot like him? I find him quite hit an miss : p I really like some of his movies, like Psycho or the Birds or North by Northwest or Dial M for Murder, but find myself bored and disliking some that are supposed to be his very greatest, say Vertigo and Rear Window : p

How about you!?

I know : p

Vertigo just seemed to drag on for me

Yeah, I got it, he's obsessed with her, making the new dame look like her, so on so on

But it just didn't hit my buttons

I enjoyed Rear Window myself.  Not loved but thought it was good.

I find it is hard to get me into older movies in general.  For some reason their acting seems to... over the top.. if you know what I mean.

Rear Window is most excellent. Vertigo is ok, not as amazing as some people want to claim, but definitly worth watching.

My favourite Hitchcock will always be the Birds though. Saw it when I was a wee lad, and it scared the crap out of me.
