In the book, when they're about to use the bowl of winds, there's a part about elayne looking towards where birgitte was when they were guarding the windfinders/kin/elayne and nynaeve. That's all fine and good because birgitte was elaynes warder. But it says that she notices that nynaeve is looking towards where lan is. does that mean that nynaeve secretly bonded lan? or maybe it was part of the sea folk marriage ceremony? just wondering about this because it seemed kinda odd.

It just means she knew where he was supposed to be scouting, and looked in that direction.  Nothing mystical going on.

Nynaeve can track Lan as she proved in tEoTW.

Nynaeve has some impressive tracking skills.  Additionally, the Encyclopaedia WoT suggests that Healing an individual gives you some awareness of them, though I can't find a source on it.

 

I'm at this part of the series on my re-read, and going along with the Encyclopaedia helps answer some questions I have, while raising others.

In TEoTW chapter 21 Moiraine explains it to Nynaeve, who was able to use her Healing generated link to Egwene to find the inn in Baerlon where they were staying.

 

I guess it COULD be the Healing link, but Nynaeve watched Lan ride off ... she knew where he was through normal means.
