That's right folk, we staffy people have finally gotten moving and organised our own set of offsite boards. This will give people a chance to post more freely (And by that I mean freely able to blow things up), and have a place that really is for the BT only.

 

I'm still experimenting with different forums at the moment, so if you see different forums popping up and vanishing all over the place, don't worry, thats just me :D

Just making sure people remember to check the offsite boards as well. There tends to be a bit more RP planning happening over there :P

out of curiosity why isn't this hosted on the bt's own site? It has php and I'm sure it has a database (tho I could be wrong)

Dali was/is having problems sortting things out with the website. He's working on a new site and set of boards as we speak. These were just something I found when I was bored and they we're easy to use :)

The problem previously was that brinkster wouldn't support some of the required changes in the php.ini file or whatever it is that the phpBB's need.

 

The new server DOES support these things.

 

Now my conundrum is related to formatting the look of the phpBB boards, as the blue is very boring. I think it just has to do with selecting the colours for the right bits and changing it but I don't find it very user friendly lol. Be so much easier to just have a theme that could be applied lol :P

go to http://www.phpbb.com under Styles, they have a live demo of all their themes and they have the files to download.

 

I can do a quick theme, might take me a week or so to actually complete it depending on the graphics. Its not overly complicated to do, you just have to know which files you need to change. If you have a template for your site information I can easily adapt that into the message boards so it's the same formatted look through out. Who ever did the graphics may have to make a few more but that's easy to change once the basics are done.
