Voice of Mickey Mouse Dies

Featured Replies

This is immensely sad, like a piece of my childhood has been torn out, never to be seen again. Did he still voice Mickey, in his older days, or did they find someone to replace him? In any case, it wouldn't be the same. It's not as if Disney's liable to make any more great Mickey movies anyhow. Sad day. *goes to mourn with Fantasia*

The Walt Disney Co said Allwine died of complications from diabetes, with his wife, an actress who was the voice of Minnie Mouse, by his side.

That is just perfect.  I can't think of a more perfect pairing than that, especially when they got to work together practically every day.

Dunbar: He still did all recent voicings of Mickey, including the Disney tv shows House of Mouse (2006-2009), and both the Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2 video games.
