These books cost under $5.00

All by Terry Brooks

At Goodwill I got:

The Once And Future King T.H. White (Paperback)

The Lord of The Isles - David Drake (Paperback)

Each of these books I bought for .99 Each plus tax a total of 2.14

I have read Magic Kingdom and enjoyed it. Also the David Drake book. That is the first in a series of five books at present. Have not read any of the others.

Best bargain I ever had was the WoT paperbacks for sale at Â£2.50 each. I bought them all to replace mine which were falling to pieces. A friend who had been borrowing them previously was very happy though to get the old ones.

The he thing that made me really enjoy Peter Jackson’s LOTR was that despite the departures from the books the story was told in the same tone as the novels and so it still felt like LOTR Same went for Game of Thrones, the books had a darker tone and thus so did the show so it felt like the same world and the same story. WOT by contrast just does not have the same tone as the books. It feels like they are trying to tell the story of WOT in the tone of GOT and it just feels off
