asmodean conundrum

Featured Replies

That doesn't answer anything. The reader believes that Graendal killed him, RJ just said he enjoys watching people squirm because they can't figure it out. He never indicated if the person was right or wrong. And for RJ... well, he wrote the series, so yes, it would seem obvious to him.

"You! No!"

And then death took him....

Ishmael's new name is death.  Looks pretty straightforward to me.

i seem to have stumbled upon a very interesting article which will probably end our asmodean debates....well, here it is

see the 3rd question

I imagine many people have seen that answer (along with the question) on some site.  And a number of them seem to conclude otherwise; so it does not really end the debates.

Like another poster inferred, the Structured section has a thread about this topic; I take the moderators would want us to talk about it only there.

so wait...Bela didn't kill Asmodean?

MAN!!!  now i'm back to square one.

*Kneecaps balefireruinssteaks* He had it coming.

So, does anyone really believe that RJ saying "the reason I won't tell people" is an indication that he has just told someone? No, it is not a confirmation. And does anyone believe that a character who has not been introduced at that point could be responsible for a death that we should be able to work out based on the clues in that book? That RJ would really use that bad a pun? No, it wasn't Moridin. Death only took him in the sense that he died. If you want to discuss, do it in the Asmo threads.
