[GAME] Star Wars: The Old Republic

Featured Replies

I just wonder how it will be since i see most everyone wanting to be a jedi/Sith. I wonder if you have to do special quest/training to be one or if you can jump right into the role for the get go so to speak.

If its like the Knights of the Old Republic games then you have to be either Jedi or Sith.

In KOTOR1 you didn't start with force powers, but in KOTOR2 you did. You get to choose your alignment by in game actions.

Well i know with this one they have Bounty Hunter and trooper up on the offical website as classes so far. I just cant imagineplaying that and not being Jedi or Sith but i guess everyone is different.

I can't wait for this game either!  Based on the popularity of the force users, but also including the people (like me) who want to be different, I would guess the following:

80% Jedi/Sith

15% Other combat

5% crafting and non-combat (if it is possible....dunno)

Totaly agree with those number for the break down of classes. Not sure if i will play it depends on if it comes out before FF14 or not.

Mmmm ... didn't know about the Bounty Hunter class.

I generally fail at MMOs though.

the trailer reeks of awesome

I wish they'd just make a movie out of that trailer instead of a game

Seriously!  The movie they did make with a cartoon was so freaking bad!!!  The trailer was so movie worthy.  Also this game looks awesome

Gah, its down. I can wait I suppose. Have alllll day.

The only two that were "official" announced lasttime i looked were the trooper and bounty hunter but it is pretty well know that of course Jedi and Sith are going to be there as well on thioer respective sides.

I'll have to learn this whole class thing when the damn game comes out.

Bah, I'm gonna be pining for this game forever now, which is bad for me. Especially since the likelyhood of my actually getting to play it is very slim.

Dude, there IS no other Star Wars MMO but Galaxies.  *nods*  I <3 it forever.

And can you really even consider that one anymore even?

I'm pretty sure there's also a smuggler class.

That's what I'll be playing.

Post-NGE?  *gasp*  I played from launch until the day after the NGE.  I hated the NGE...it was bad....very bad.

I know I know, the combat upgrade sucked and I quit then too.  But I'd heard that they had rolled back a lot of those changes, and so I tried it again.  And I loveses it!  If you revive your old account, you get all the crazy veteran rewards, too ;)

I know - I actually checked it out last month.  Took about 20 minutes to get all the rewards...they flooded in like crazy!  Pretty cool, but the game is still more like a FPS MMO....which I hate.
