outrigger novels WOT after AMOL?

Ok this is a quote from RJ's blog this week:

#For Tony W, the last book of the main story arc, A Memory of Light, won’t be the last Wheel of Time novel. True, I want to move on to the Infinity of Heaven books, not to mention some other books, but there are two more prequel novels to come, and maybe a set of three outrigger novels.#

So we have been discussing what we will see in AMOL - lets discuss what we will not see because it will go into these.

For a start I would say the Dragon's kids all of them :-)

I don't think we will see any of them born - but jump a few years ahead and see how they as teenagers find out they can channel and maybe their dad wasn’t around so they find out who they are… ;-)

I don't think the outrigger novels are going to work like that. I believe RJ has stated that the novels will be about characters we don't know, doing things while the main story line is moving. I'm almost positive that's how it's working.

I would love to see a book take place at the end of The War of Power, with Lews Therin and the Hundred Companions sealing the Bore.

There are quite a few characters I'd love to see books about.

Cadsuane, especially her encounter with the toothless wilder that turned her world upside down.

Hurin, I've really missed the little sniffer.

Farstrider, great opportunity to have some action take place in Shara.

Verin, and what she's been up to the last 70 years.

The fall of Manetheren and Aridhol would also be nice.

i too would love to see 'the tales of jain farstrider'. it seems to be everyones favourite book. also, i wanna hear about artur hawkwing, and also his sons voyage to, and takeover of seanchan.[/i]

I'd like to read about them too, buy i think we'll see them born. Elayne will be useless if they're not and they may have to do with his blood being spilled.

more bela!!

I've also wanted The Travels of Jain Farstrider for ages. Not to mention something on the Trolloc Wars or the bad arse false dragons who "shook the pillars of the earth" or whatever.

oh what a great idea for a thread!

I would love to read about the AoL. I don't think we are going to be getting any more about it though, b/c I get the feeling RJ is only going to be writing about the third age.

I'd love to read of Jain Farstrider, and the Land of the Red Eagle (notice the way I deftly avoid having to spell it's name) And Shadar Logoth would be a fascinating read.

However I think that it's going to be more of a political series of novels. Not boring stuff like Elayne getting Andor, but interesting stuff like Padron Nial, or maybe Illian vs. Tear. (Go Illian!)

Another posibility could be the story of Artur Hawkwing, or The Trolloc Wars. Ok, there is a lot that could be written about, if I could pick one thing that I would like to read about though... Lews Therin and his battling the shadow until the sealing and the madness (which I would like to know how that came about.)
