Hay guys, not sure if any of you know the above program or what it is about, but if you do then i am sure you will feel as saddened as i do at the passing of one of the guys featured in the BoB,Darrell "Shifty" Powers.

Here is a link to the press release where i found out about this...

A very brave man, as they all were who fought in WW2. Hopefully now he will find the peace he deserves...a great loss to his family and friends and all those who "knew" him from the series.

If you have not watched BoB, i would recommend it. It is not a flag waving, chest thumping, propaganda exercise. Instead it is about the trials and tribulations that a group of men from Easy Company, 503rd Parachute Regiment. A sobering, and at times, harrowing tale, well worth the time to watch it and learn a bit about history.

<Removes his hat and turns "Battle hymn of the Republic" on> A good man indeed, for what Easy Company went through in WW2 I pray he has found the peace he so greatly deserves, and fought for.

I have seen the series, a few times now, and I will agree it is anything but a propaganda exercise.

Behold, one more hero passes from the land, and the Light grows dimmer in these dark times.

My condolances to the family, though they will most likely never read this.
