At one a water bomber crashed into the lake it was getting water from.  Two guys that should have evacuated with the rest of the people stayed behind and were video tapping the bombers taking water on the lake.  They managed to boat out to the plane and rescue the pilot.

I hope you don't get caught up in a fire? that'd be bad. But the water bomber thing is kinda hilarious

there's more then 500 fires burning in my province.  one has been burning for 2 weeks and is 17km large.  only 2 fires even remotely near me.  glad i live on an island.

Heh. I'm used to this kind of news about Australians, not Canadians. Guess it's just because Canadians are cooler.

Oh, we get the fires every year, though this year appears to be worse than usual, though I think they say that every year.

I just think this is a bad year for fires full stop! Apparently next summer is going to be worse. I fully sympathise Canuki.
