I was very disappointed with Lynch's '84 version of the book which focused more on the rivalry of the families and did a terrible job with the action scenes.  I hope that if Berg succeeds in making this, that it does the great book justice.

 

Meh.

 

I liked Lynchs version, and the feeling I get from Berg describing his vision of Dune makes me want to vomit.

 

And considering how much the last Berg movie I saw, Hancock, sucked, I think he would not be able to make a decent movie out of Dune even if he had an intelligent vision.

 

 

WHAT? Come on... Sci-FI did a AWESOME JOB on Dune in like, 2004. Why make a movie when sci-fi made a better version than the 84' version?

 

Reading Berg's description... Makes me want to send him something in the mail...

My god, its like he WANTS to Micheal Bay Dune. /uggh

I liked Lynch's version as well.  But that was before I read the book so I can use that as an excuse. 

 

I also liked the mini series. 

 

I don't mind someone trying again.  If they make a Bay like version I can hate it like I do most of the Bay movies.  You never know when a director might get it right though.
