First Thread:

Dante, Shawn and Edana meet during guard duty. Ed and Shawn discover they're both PoW and have no one to train them past what they already know. They decide to start training themselves, Dante decides to come, too. (Watching out for the adopted sister, perhaps?)

Start out on the trip. Run across a Freelander (Quibby) who teaches them a bit about water-related stuff.

 

Third Thread: (Second thread of the Wake Up Call Req)

Shawn: comes back and gets "tested" by (forgot name... will edit with info)

 

Edana: comes back and gets "tested" by Kynwric.

 

Dante: comes back and gets "tested" by... ?

Well, to clarify and maybe add on a little.

This thread: Adventuring Forth was actually my first attempt at the Wake-up call req 2.5 years ago.  Because it never got finished, and because of various ic reasons, I'm retending that it never happened.  So, what we mean by saying we're using it for background is that we're using it for reference purposes as far as what will most likely happen in the first thread of the Wake-up Call rp, though it is sure to change quite a bit it is a reference point of sorts.

 

Also, I was thinking that the first thread would be just the three of us doing PoW training and then the second thread would be where we get "tested", Shawn by Quibby's Freelander that I can't remember the name of and Ed and Dante either also getting tested and trained by him or returning to the Tower to be "tested" by someone else.

I think we're both coming back to the Tower for that. I know Dante's already started his in the Yard w/ Kyn.

we ready for the next thread, yet? Did I miss it in my RL mess?

rl  has been crazy hectic for me lately but I'm starting to put some thought into starting this ;)

Here's the plan:

req says to have two threads to train self outside the Tower and evaluate skills against self and/or others.

 

Thread 1 will be us doing spars and forms in the glade: in forest, on sand, in ankle and knee deep water, standing under the waterfall, on slippery rocks such as at a fording, etc etc etc.

 

Thread 2 will be after Ed and Kynwric return to Yards.  Shawn stays to continue training and meets Quibby's character.  Gets extra training from this Grandmaster and is encouraged by him to seek a Blademaster council to evaluate him on his return to the Tower.

Sounds good to me! On my way! :D
