I am trying to find a book I read about 5 years ago, but I remember neither the name nor the author.

 

The book was about twelve swords made by the gods for a game, and each sword had a purpose that it more or less used it's weilder for. The first sword I remember being called 'Townsaver'.

 

Anyone know the book?

yeah, three books of shortstories, and 1 "novel" that's also sort of like 3 shortstories grouped together.
