Crazy question about the oath rod.

When you swear on the oath rod to obey someone (like galina), if the person whom they are sworn to obey states that they dont want them to be affected by One Power manipulation will they still be bond by the rod?

I know it doesn't matter, I'm just curious.

I think the result is the same as that one time Eqwene tried to us the One Power to divided by zero.....chaos ensued.

The oath rod can only make them put the effort forth, i can't grant protection.  That person could sprint away from any weave, but if thier caught...

Here's a question of a similar strain- the three oaths forbid offensive channeling, so how can the sisters made damane be weapons?

They can't be. RJ commented on that.

e.g. Pura and Mylen

actually, if an Aes Sedai becomes a damane, she cant break the oaths, they stated once that they couldn't make pura (Ryma) tell a lie. So it makes sense that they cant be used as weapons.

As for the domane thing, they can't break the oathes but remember domane arent just used as weapons. They can be used to make skylights, detect mines (egwene), heal people, construct buildings, remove obstacles etc

There seems to be some limits on a fealty oath.  Galina was not able to stop her tears even though Therava commanded her to not cry.  (Knife of Dreams Chapter 30)

A command to not be manipulated, not sure if that command could work.  It would depend on other people's actions.  Commands after a fealty oath can only affect the person who sworn fealty; the fealty oath cannot be extended to include people the person meets.

The foxhead medallion seems the only thing that can prevent One Power manipulation.

The question actually is not crazy.
