Sorry.  If you had told me before you wasted your time, I could have crapped out a copy of Atlas Shrugged and mailed it to you instead.  Or even better, for a small fee, I could condescend to you during Q & As and lie about plagiarizing other people's works too. ;)

The Dresden Files - Jim Butcher

Belgariad/Mallorean/sparhawkbooks - David Eddings

Riftwar Saga was pretty good, cant remember the authors name though =/

The Saga of the Recluce - cant remember this guys name either

Neal Stephenson is very good. If you like historical fiction I recommend "The

Baroque Cycle", the first of three novels is titled "Quicksilver". He also wrote my

favorite S.F. book titled "The Diamond Age" (not a series).

Haven't read The Diamond Age yet, but Snow Crash was terrific.

Pick it up, should be a used copy around if you don't want to pay full price.

Also, Glen Cook's "Black Company" is a Swords and Sorcery series I've enjoyed a

number of times over the years.

A Song of Ice and Fire. Yea I know it sounds like a lame title. However the series is insanely good. I consider it a much better series then TWOT. The first book is A Game of Thrones. Buy it you will love it.
