what happened to the sea folks original ships?

The see folks said that they originated from people who, during the breaking commandeered ships they didn't know how to use and fled to the oceans where they stayed until the land was safe again.

Those were AOL ships that were kept out of danger. Where are they now?

Well, unless the ships were made out of cuendillar, I doubt any of them would have survived for 3000 years.  The current ship design that they use is probably similar though.

While they did mention things like sho-wings during the first age it sounds like their average ships were still made of wood.  Even if they were made of metal they'd only have lasted a few centuries at best.

Of course, it would be interesting if one of those ships were found intact somewhere in the world...

Like another poster told, only cuendillar would have survived 3000 years.  All other materials would go through some form of decaying, unless there were people that had the skill and time to maintain them.

All the Ter'angreal that survived were made of cuendillar? Weren't some of them destroyed at some point in the books?

and even if the hulls of the ships were destroyed (by the way I doubt they used wood ships in the AOL since we don't even used wood ships today) they probably could still be scavenged for all sort of nifty devices like radar or navigation computers (maybe with male voiced AI, which would explain why the sea folks thinks that all ships are male)
