Divination

Welcome to Divination, course number 113 in Kin U’s Halloween Stravaganza!  *grins*  What is Divination?   If someone on the street asked you., what would you say?  I thought about it, and most likely I would say, something that tries to tell the future.  Would I be right?  We’ll be finding out during the following weeks!

We have an exciting course laid out for you!  Myself,  Dean Lor and possibly one other professor will be here to introduce us to just a few of the ways people use Divination!

This first week, I will be your Prof, and we will be learning about Runes!  During the month you will also be introduced to the Tarot; Lor will explore Palmistry and if there is time, we will be taking a cup of tea and Reading Tea Leaves!!

There are no requirements for this course except your interest and an open mind!  All materials will be provided!

*Grins*  Ok, anyone have any questions, comments or experiences they would like to share?

I love this subject.

I had a Tarot card reading done a few months ago. I was amazed at how right on it was.

Now I would love to learn to do it.

I've been using Tarot for years now.  I've always wanted to learn how to read runes though.  I learned Futhark but I can't seem to get a grasp of how to divine with the runes.

*dumps out several sets of rune stones, sets out an ink well and a quill, opens the notebook to a blank page and starts taking notes.*

LOL  well it actually seems like the students in this case may know much more than the teacher!  I will be happy to have you offer any knowledge you have that I may miss, or correct something I may mistate!

nd

And we will be looking at the Tarot later in the month as well..*winks*

Actually, before I get rolling, could any of you tell us a bit about your experience and how long you have studied or used Runes?  What kind of Runes you have...and what got you interested in the first place! Thanks!

I've always had an interest in Runes...my father's people originated in Norway and came to America via one or two hundred year lay over in Scotland.  I got started on Runes from my passion for mythology and for Astartu.  I fell in love with Furthark (can't speak it at all but I use it occasionally when I've written something I don't want anyone else to read ;) )

I own a set of runes carved in clear quartz crystals and a set of runes made from terra cotta.  I love trying to read with them...I just have trouble trying to understand the furthark as meanings versus as letters.  I'm pretty determined though so eventually I will figure out how to read runes!  :look  Maybe....

I'm much much better at Tarot though, having studied it for nearly ten years :D  And I've recently picked up scrying.  Scrying is way more difficult than I would have ever thought!

My runestones, hand crafted by my Dad. *G* I got interested in Rune stones because I have Norse ancestors and I was already into Divination of all kinds. Ohhh I also have some yellow jade ones but I don't have a pic of them.
