I am a Charlotte Fan....

A-10....

They used to make the tourney every year...

My second team is Chapel Hill... go Tarheels!

Is this really the only NCAA basketball discussion thread on here...and it hasn't been updated since November?  DM, you disappoint me.

My teams:

University of Kansas (go Hawks)

Indiana University

Purdue

K-State

I'll also root for the Illini, Texas, Michigan, and Ohio State.

Oh, and Duke sucks.  That is all.

Georgia Tech.

Duke should DIAF (not only Tech ACC rivals, but rivals of Hopkins too in general.)

Also like Villnova and Georgetown.

And picks for the rest of the week in games I actually might give a damn about:

Kansas over Baylor 78 to 52

Nova over Rutgers 88 to 70

MSU over Iowa 73 to 58

Duke (Boo!) over NC State 86 to 74

Georgetown over Pitt 76 to 74

Michigan over Wisconsin 60 to 56

Uconn over St. Johns 80 to 67

NC over Wake (should be a very close game!) 80 to 78

We'll see how these picks go before I do any Saturday picks.

I might have to revise my Uconn pick, or at least the spread.  Jim Calhoun is out for medical reasons, which could either really hurt morale or make them wanna win for him.  I'll think about it overnight.

Picks for tonight's games (a little late so only one that's not started):

Purdue over Illinois, 68 to 60

Results:

[glow=green,2,300]Purdue over Illinois 84 to 78[/glow]

Much higher scoring game than I expected.  It was looking bad for Purdue at the half, but they rallied through good rebound making, excellent free-throw shooting (79%!), and a talented freshman John Hart who scored 14 points and had 2 of the team's offensive boards for the Boilermakers.  He actually wasn't on the official score sheet in the first half and played several minutes without anybody noticing this.  When he got his first FG of the game, the officials were all "who the heck is that?!" and gave Purdue a Technical for it.  Needless to say, he proved his worth and I'm betting on him getting more minutes in upcoming games.

Purdue's next game: vs. Michigan at home, Saturday 1/23

Illinois' next game: at Northwestern, Saturday 1/23

Didn't get to watch any games last night, so I'll just post results.

And picks for the rest of the week in games I actually might give a damn about:

Kansas over Baylor 78 to 52

[glow=green,2,300]Kansas over Baylor 81 to 75[/glow]

Nova over Rutgers 88 to 70

[glow=green,2,300]Nova over Rutgers 94 to 68[/glow]

MSU over Iowa 73 to 58

[glow=green,2,300]MSU over Iowa 70 to 63[/glow]

Duke (Boo!) over NC State 86 to 74

[glow=red,2,300]NC State over Duke 88 to 74 [/glow] (at least I was close on the score...go NC State!)

Georgetown over Pitt 76 to 74

[glow=green,2,300]Georgetown over Pitt 74 to 66[/glow]

Michigan over Wisconsin 60 to 56

[glow=red,2,300]Wisconsin over Michigan 54 to 48[/glow]

Uconn over St. Johns 80 to 67

[glow=green,2,300]Uconn over St. Johns 75 to 59[/glow]

NC over Wake (should be a very close game!) 80 to 78

[glow=red,2,300]Wake over NC 82 to 69[/glow] (wow, was I wrong!)

I was too busy watching Kansas kick ass and K-State get their asses handed to them to do other score picks for today, so here's the only one I've got left:

Clemson over Duke 80 to 76

Tomorrow's games:

Indiana over Iowa 70 to 65

Pitt over Seton Hall 84 to 78

Wisconson over Penn St. 76 to 62
