How old was LTT when he died?

Just finished the prologue and something caught my attention, It says that Lews Therin's hair was more white than brown. If he was not bound by oaths, he must be very very VERY old. In comparison to his life, 3000 year out of commission might not be that long.

Some other thoughts  much of the technology of the past was supposed to work with the OP. When saidin was corrupted, did they go crazy like the ways? Evil possessed jo-cars!

Also, the prologue is falling out of my Eye of the World, and its brand new! This is the fourth copy that this has happened to. Come on TOR, you guys need to step up your game on the bindings here. Can I get an Amen?!

LTT and all of the Forsaken as well, are described as being in their early to late middle years.

Given average lifespan during the AoL, that might make his as old as 350.

His hair was white and his face lined because of what he had experienced and had been forced to do over the preceding ten years.

Recall this quote from Rand's dismissal of Sammael's messenger:

"Take this message back to Sammael," he said coldly. "Every death he has caused since waking, I lay at his feet and call due. Every murder he has ever done or caused, I lay at his feet and call due. He escaped justice in the Rorn M'doi, andat Nol Caimaine, and Sohadra...." More of Lews Therm's memories, but the pain of what had been done there, the agony of what Lews Therin's eyes had seen,'burned across the Void as if Rand's. "... But I will see justice done now. Tell him, no truce with the Forsaken. No truce with the Shadow."

I have friends who started to get their first white hairs shortly after they turned 20, and that without having to first suffer 10 years of brutal war, then go insane and kill their entire family.

So, the colour of ones hair does not really say much about a persons age.

My grandfather's hair was completely white (white, not grey) by his 25th birthday. Granted, stress and other things like genetics can all contribute to this, but just because he has grey hair doesnt mean he is extremely old. I always thought LTT was around 300, but as always will concede to someone better informed and more knowledgeable than myself.

he was hundreds of years old long before the bore was drilled. the war lasted a long time (maybe 50 to 60 years minimum). Then he lived for a while longer (10-20) before he killed himself

The collapse lasted something like one hundred and fifty years, this was the period after the bore and before the war.  The war itself lasted ten years.

Note that some of the Chosen are just approaching middle age at about 300 years old and don't have gray hair yet. If his hair was turning gray, my guess is at least 300 if not older.

He's one day older than Demandred, who's never been described as anything other than the prime of life or middling aged.

Ah, you maybe right, I shortened the collapse, because I assumed Meirin and Ishmael (Forgot his real name) turned right away, because they were in the research facility that subsequentally became the Bore. And the guy who worked for Meirin before she went bad, died at the end of the war.

LTT and the Hundred Companions went crazy soon after the bore was sealed.  The rest of the AS men took longer to turn it was about 10 years after LTT and HC died before the breaking "officially" began.

The Dark One likes big round numbers, IIRC it was 100 years for the collapse and 10 for the War of Power.

In Tanchico, Moghedien said she was young for an Aes Sedai at 200, this she said was when the bore was drilled, 110 years later, how old does she look now? I would imagine he would have been at least 400 in his middle years
