The monthly Div report has to be done by the 10th. I need to have the Ajah reports in by preferably the 8th in order to do that. For instance, the October reports had to be in by the 8th of November.

Ajah reports must include all RPs done in the preceding month, but a little bit of further info will be very helpful, not only to me but also to you. More on that later.

For now, I would just like to urge all of you to please get the reports in on time. If you (Heads) don't gather all the information yourself, fine - but you are responsible for it.

*follows Jade* wanna go throw pineapples at the trainees from the Guard? See how their reflexes are? I'm sure Eqwina won't mind.

I have a tendency to lose track of the date, so feel free to kick me if it looks like I'm disorganised!

First of all: all those who have not signed the Code of Conduct are going to be purged from the WT usergroup.

Note to MoN: please make sure all new novices go sign it. Please remind me to ask Owen about putting the link in the Welcome Letter.

Ok I've thought of a few things I would like included in the Ajah and MoN reports (busy here at our house this morning so might post them 1 at a time). This is open for discussion, tweaking, ideas, etc:

1) Handle and character name(s) of members and when last RPed as that character, split into Active and Inactive

Please note the following (see full post here: http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php/topic,41094.0.html)

If a person returns to the RP with an Aes Sedai after an absence with that character of more than 6 months, they have to complete the following requirements:

So if someone has not RP'ed their character in 6 months, they have to resubmit bio etc etc - they cannot just jump in and play. This does not apply to novices and accepted, though, only full AS characters.

What I would like to do is get everyone (Heads and MoN) to check who in their group has NOT RPed their character in the past 6 months. Make contact with them, find out if there is any problem, offer assistance, yank my sleeve if it's something I can help with. If the person does not respond, or if they indicate they are not returning in the near future, I would like them to be removed from the WT usergroup.

Reason for wanting them removed:

so we have an ACTUAL reflection of active members, where, and can work on quiet/problem/low activity sections

so people cannot RP with unapproved characters (so this one is flawed, if they have more than 1 character  :P)

What do you guys think of this idea?

I'm open to suggestions, disagreements, etc  ;)

I'm not an AJah head but I like what you have there Elgee. I have to ask does this count if person is on LOA? I know a six month loa is a bit long but just in case it does come up i'm just curious. :)

No problem. I will do my first MoN report for the month of November, I figured it didn't make sense to do October since I had no rps or anything, but if you want me to hunt down the active members etc I can do that for you now (well not immediately, but in the next few days ;))

How would this apply for multiple characters? Let's assume I didn't rp my novice for 6 months, but still rped my other characters. I assume the 6 months wouldn't apply then? Or would that character still have to undergo the reqs? The clearer the point is, the better, I think :). I think it should only apply when someone has completely been inactive with all their characters in the div for that long, not if they are still around with at least one. 6 months is a long time on one hand, but on the other it's not, especially if you're in a slump with the character or not sure where to go next with them, waiting to finish an rp with someone who's loa etc... just my two cents. I do like the general idea though, it makes life a lot easier for those of us keeping track of members, and will encourage us to encourage them to rp. I think it should be highlighted when it is announced that they are not banned from rping or anything that autocratic, that the reason is for us to keep accurate records, and that there is no stopping them rejoining the group and getting back into rp. Anyone away for that long really should be doing a character development rp to get back into it anyway. It's not to turn people away or make it hard for them, but to encourage activity.

Wow, I can be lengthy when I babble ;)

Hmm.... so I read this post a few days ago and I have been thinking.

Maybe in addition to the months RP for the Ajah, there could also be a few RP ideas for the upcoming months. It would be helpful if you have a slow Ajah. *cough blush* Also, if there is nothing to report that is going on you could make a recruitment plan. *nods nods* More just me thinking out loud but I wanted to throw it out there.  :D

Ok so what we have so far for monthly Ajah reports:

In by no later than the 8th of the month

To include:

1) RPs done in the preceding month (as always done - see here for example: http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php/topic,48182.0.html)

2) Handle and character name(s) of members and when last RPed as that character, split into Active and Inactive

3) RP plans / ideas

4) Interaction with N&A (remember that recruitment idea we discussed in another thread)

5) Problems, ideas, etc

Do you really need the dates for when the character was last played? *boggles at the idea of hunting down goodness knows how many initiates*. I have a good idea of who is active, but determining who is MIA or just hasn't posted for a few weeks is trickier since I'm not as familiar with the older novices. I'll do my best and promise that next month will be even more comprehensive if I struggle! :D

yeah, im kinda' turned off by the prospect of having to hunt my member's rp's to see if they rp'd in the last 6 months too. Especially since both of them are rather active on other stuff, so going over their 'last posts' till I find an rp of them as their brown character is a real pain in the backside. I'd rather go by the rp's they report to me at hte Brown hall instead. Make them responsible for their own characters instead of me being babysitter for them.

I'm working on a solution for you Lav. So, hold tight. :) Just gotta finish some coding up, I have a database up and running, and then it will be almost hands free. Hope to have a working script for you guys to review in the next couple days if I can get my husband to help me finish the coding.

1) Myst, that's what I normally do - I make a thread at the Reds, and ask them to post their RPs in the format the Report is supposed to be.

2) Taei, I shall worship you and give you cookies. Special ones.

yeah, but now you ask us to go bàck 6 months. that's a little different from going by what they post in the currently running rp thread :P

If they're RPing with their Brown character currently, then they've RPed in the past 6 months ... or am I misunderstanding what you're saying?

Here's the link to who should be in each Ajah: http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php/topic,50598.msg1363681.html#msg1363681

I'd say first thing is to do a member search on them, and see who has logged into DM in the past 6 months. Those who haven't, go to your inactive list.

Those who are, pm / email them if they have not posted their RP's at your Ajah.

Those who don't respond to your pm / email, hunt down and shoot. Or do a search on them, ticking only the PSW boxes.

If you can't get it done for this month's report, let it stand over to next month.

All I'm trying to achieve is for each Ajah Head to know who her members are, what their characters are, are they active / not active, do they need help / inspiration / kick up the butt.

And I'm a dork. I see what you mean, now, Myst - no one from the Brown apart from Claire has reported theirs in a very long time. I know Muir hasn't RPed her Brown in years, don't know about Owen. Raeyn hasn't been active on DM for at least 6 months. Can't remember who else is in your Ajah now.

Just a MoN report question - I assume I don't have to list all the novices and accepteds rps? Even going from the reqs there would be other threads they're not counting. Was I right in assuming you only meant the rps that Pia is in as MoN?
