I'm not sure how he is to meet the band up with the band.  My initial thought was that he was going to be a young Tairen Lancer who was serving under a lord whose small company of lancers just so happened to join The Band.

 

Now my question is...is it possible to retro that said company has already joined the band at the Citadel prior to them leaving for Tarabon? or should I just have said company meet with The Band on its way to Tanchico? or something altogether different?

I don't think you'll have an issue with having him join before we leave, but we'll leave the final call with Quibby.
