Okay, I have actually been lurking around DM for along long time, reading other member's contributions, and silently living out my days content to remain in the shadows. It has been many a year since I took an active voice in a Wheel of Time community and honestly, though I know none of you (yet), just this post feels like a homecoming for me.

 

Like many of you I grew up reading the Wheel of Time, and yes I admit there were times during my formative years when it almost seemed as if Rand, Mat and Perrin were the only real friends I had. RJ's work in this series set the bar for me when it came to  anything I read from then on. Very few authors have come close to doing what he has done here (Steven Erikson's Malazan is highly regarded on my list).

 

I was a very active member of the Netland White Tower in the glory filled days of yesteryear, and wrote my fair share of fan fiction. I've used a few pen names over the years, Davian Rhodrhm, and Evan Sheridan to name two of my more prominent pseudonyms. 

 

I'm from Utah, I have two children, a son and a daughter, but am now divorced (thank the Light, I believed I may have actually been married to a genuine Darkfriend!). I'm a military man, and have been for the last 8 years, and yes, I did take and read WoT in Iraq ;)

 

Anyway, I am actually a very busy individual, and I do tend to forget things, up o and including my own birthday (on several occasions), but I thought I would introduce myself on the off chance that if I do actually post something worth reading once in a while, you'd have some idea of who I am.
