Gday, just thought I should say hello as I am relatively new to the dragonmount forum. It will be good to share a few ideas and thoughts with you all.

Welcome! You can do lots more than share ideas around here! Come and visit out our orgs! If you don't find a family in one of them, you just aren't trying. May I recommend The Band of the Red Hand?

English being a foreign language for me, I don't do too well on accents.......but, do I detect one from down under??? Welcome Grubhunter :)

Look in on the book discussion some time and vote on who killed Asmodean...

.... and have a great old time getting to know the rest of the world on here!

I've loved the series since about '91, which I think is the release of "Dragon Reborn."  Used to take part in the old alt nets, but the long delays between releases made me lazy.

I don't stress too much minutiae, but there are a few things that make me mad, and a couple I think or poorly expressed.

Example, I hate the idiotic 3 oaths.  You can't tell a lie, but you can be deceitful, and you can't use the power as a weapon, but you can wield it as a cudgel to brutalize people, (last I checked a sap was a weapon) and you can't build a weapon for one man to use against another, but anyone who has ever served can tell you, the opportunity of camouflage would be the best weapon available.

Also, I am curious as to why Nynaeve didn't tell the innkeeper who has a crush on mat about her ability to heal stilling, even though she was identified while in the rahad.

Not to mention, knowing for quite a while that men are necessary for expanding the circle, why haven't the sisters already attached to asha'man started to experiment with the extremities of circle expansion?

I understand that the story must be grown and come to a conclusion, but he is growing mystery after mystery without once throwing the reader a bone.

It upsets me quite a bit, I think the final book will be satisfying, but still anti-climatic, because he offered up too many promises.
