You know how saidin is weird near Ebou Dar in the 8th book? And even all the damane feel sick? What caused it? I mean if it was the thing Elayne did with that gateway why didn't the chanelers in Andor(on theother side of the gateway)  feel sometning?

It wasn't the Gateway (indeed, the problem is there when she weaves the Gateway). The only thing that fits the time, the area, and it affecting both sides of the Power is the Bowl of Winds, which was confirmed by RJ. It was overstressed, not being designed to alter the weather worldwide.
