My siblings went outside and stuck their tongues to frozen poles.

And ended up with bleeding tongues. ::)

Yup, my 10-year-old brother did it first, and then when they saw his tongue bleeding and heard why it was bleeding, my 7-year-old brother and the 9-year-old next-door-neighbor went out and tried it too.

I know, brilliant, right?

I don't think my siblings are really..."all there," if you know what I mean. ;)

My mom wouldn't let me walk home from work today.

It was 15 degrees Fahrenheit with a wind chill of up to 20 below zero.

lol Midwest

That really says it all, doesn't it? :D

Don't have to rub it in. :(

Hey, as an Iowegian girl (raised, not born), I prefer the Midwest, at least weather-wise.  (No, actually, that's a total lie--I used to prefer extreme winters, but I'm a big baby now and all I want is mild temperatures year-round, instead of the pretty hot and pretty cold temps we get here :D)

Coming from just below the southern hemisphere, I don't much appreciate winter.

Haaaaahhahahahahahahaaaa!!

::)

You can't honestly think I didn't know SOMEone would interpret it that way?

Please.  I've been around DM, notorious for being a squirrel and all that that entails, for over 2 years now.  I've said "I like nuts" so many times that I just kind of yawn at reactions like Van's. :D

I had to think for about a minute and a half to finally realize what that was all about.

That's something I'd expect from people my age.......
