Alright Dragonmount, anyone who has ever been a fan of Calvin and Hobbes hopefully remembers these fantastic pictures:

So, I submit this question to you Dragonmount. How could one realistically make a F-14 flyable with a T-Rex? Do keep in mind weight and proportions.

It's a trick question. You have to shrink the T-Rex. Duh...

Not only that, you'd have to engineer it so that its arms are actually useful enough to be able to grasp and manipulate the flight controller, both changes making them no longer tyrannosaurs, strictly speaking.

Conversely, you could build an F-14 to a tyrannosaur's scale and anatomy, except then, due to the change in specs and most likely requiring a different fuselage to achieve lift on a larger vehicle, it would no longer be an F-14.

Basically you need a genie.

Calvin and Hobbes, however, is just plain awesome.

Probably rate it as my number 1 printed 'toon. It's just so perfect. The life lessons, wrapped up in a huge surrealist imaginatorium. Love it.

If you shrunk a tyrannosaur to fit into an F-14, would it still be a tyrannosaur?
