Oh, Lily. DO NOT tempt me. Although I was telling my bro recently that I though I had friends in enough states that I could get from here (Ohio) to California without ever staying in a hotel.

*sigh*

Maybe someday.

Da*n. Wrong sport. Althought he packers are just as bad. :P.

WAIT. Aren;t there Baseball Arizona Cardinals too?

Oh. Poop. Nope. They're the D'Backs. Rats.  :D

You should come to Buffalo! Home of!,........well, o.k., can I come to Arizona? The only thing Buffalo has is Buffalo Wings, beef on weck and Weber's mustard. woohoo for fatties!

Is that where the sun has been hiding? Good to know.

On another note, I have officially figured out that I could drive from here (Ohio) to California without ever staying in a hotel. Look out, US, here I come.

One of the nice things about staying at a hotel on the way to a destination is the thought of a warm soft bed, and a hot meal followed by a strawberry milkshake.  WiFi and a good book complete the day as darkness enfolds the place.  Tomorrow, a hot breakfast, then another drive down the road with the radio blaring out my favorite driving songs as I sing along to my favorites.

I would rather visit people with an occasionally stay at a hotel just to rest.

Yes, the Cardinals are here, however I am not into football. I do like the Diamondbacks!! That is my sport.

Oh, there are actually clouds outside today! charis you can stay with me and we will have fun when Lily comes to visit.

Well, you do have a point. We need more freeways! Okay wider freeways.

I am way south of charis, and I-71 cuts through the middle of town in a general N/S direction.  I-70 and I-670 also cut through town, though in a E/W direction.  Add to that a beltway called I-270.  If I had to drive through town without them, my commute would be over an hour each way.

I stay in hotels when Libby and I go on weekend jaunts to see historic things in other towns.  Many hotels have indoor pools and some have saunas by the pool, so we can swim after dinner and soak in steam, or both actually. Then we head back to the city the next day.  I take an interstate out to the vicinity of the small town destination, then get on local roads.  Many times I go Brown and buy old books at second hand book shops or antique stores.

Libby no longer goes wide-eyed when she visits me and finds lots of good old books stacked in the living room on days I go to auctions and come home loaded with books.  On those days, she does crochet while I scan each book, and put them into bookshelves.  At one recent auction, I bought her a large 2 carat ruby on a gold chain that was made in the late Victorian era.

The weather is getting warmer and the snow is almost gone.  For a while, I thought we might not see the grass again until March.
