James Hibberd at the Hollywood Reporter has a new interview with “Lost” showrunners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse focusing on the series’ final season. Highlights:

 

* Pilot director and series co-creator J.J. Abrams will not be involved in writing or directing the series finale.

 

* The final season will focus on the Jack-John relationship. (Which I guess means John Locke is no longer dead?)

 

* Both Lindelof and Cuse seem convinced Disney will eventually concoct some sort of sequel, prequel or remake of the series. (In the new novel “Under The Dome,” Stephen King makes reference to a sequel to “Lost” airing in the near future titled “The Hunted Ones.”)

 

* Lindelof’s favorite season is one; Cuse’s is five.
