Saw Valarian.

Acting was decent, but the dialogue was awful. Gotta gives the actors props for doing the best they could with a crap script.

Story was predictable and pretentious.

But the graphics were amazing.

I watched this, because the director did the 5th element. The trailer looked like he was channeling his past successes. Unfortunately it just didn't live up to it.

Watched The Layover last night.

Kate Upton and her best friend fight over a man after their flight to Florida is cut short due to a Hurricane.

Worth watching. I was cracking up during the hot air balloon scene due to sympathizing with the friends fear of heights.

Just finished watching seasons 1-3 of TNT's The Last Ship.

In a word:  awesome.

Season 4 begins 8/20.

I thought that got cancelled otherwise I would have been watching it.

I guess I'll check it out after I finish Spartacus.

I am Spartacus

Baby Driver

Not a huge blockbuster but it was an alright movie.

Kevin Spacey plays a good bad guy as per usual.

Saw IT this weekend.

Solid movie.

Yeah, I quite enjoyed it.  Never saw the original or read the book.  The kid from Stranger Things has some great lines.

Geostorm.

It was horrible.

You should watch it.

It was so bad.

So, so, bad.

There were dozens of continuity issues, the world was not internally consistent, the characters used dialog for the sole purpose of setting up one lines.

Actors couldn't decide on accents for their characters, and frequently switched mid-conversation.

Also, water dries up immediately when the sun comes out, and dogs are immune from tornados.

That last line is a spoiler.

I don't care.

Dogs are always immune in Hollywood... I think I've seen one exception but I cant remember the film

Tuk-tuks were pulled into the tornado, but a dog was able to hind under a table?

Sounds completely plausible

I also get the feeling that it was filmed as a much longer/different movie, but was edited heavily.

Sharknado has a surprising amount of world-consistancey, and was modeled by my company!

Wacthed Thor: Ragnorok last night...

As a slap-stick comedy: 8/10

As an "action movie": 7/10

As a "super hero movie": 9/10

(essentially a blend of the first two)

As a stand-alone work of dramatic fiction: 5/10

Iv'e been watching Kitchen Nightmares and it is hilarious to see how Gordon Ramsay reacts to how bad some of the restaurants are.

no he still does that and i’m accustomed to swearing. the brit show was just all around better done imo. i enjoyed the bits where he and the kids raised food animals and mom was just like no please not in the house. it was a well put together variety food show.
