Hi everyone :) I'm new here, obviously, so thought I'd say hi. I've been lurking around the forums for a few weeks now but finally thought I'd summon the courage to join in.

I'm on my first ever read through of WoT, I'm on CoT at the moment and LOVING it so far. My brother mentioned the series to me years ago, but I never really bothered listening properly to him, but then just before Christmas just gone he gave me his spare copies of the first three books, and since tucking into tEoeW I haven't looked back. I've been reading the series for about a couple of months straight now and cant wait to get my hands on my brothers copy of GS.

Other than WoT, I love reading and writing in general (I consider myself a writer above all things) and my recently acquired Xbox 360  ;D

I'm looking forwards to meeting you all and talking WoT :)

Ah thank you :) I was just wondering what the difference is between 'Dragonmount Member' and 'Member'? And I've been looking at the org's and some of them talked about if you want to join you have to choose something on your profile or something? but I cant see anything like that on my user area?

That would be a good question for the org you wish to join.

 

As for the SG Org you just have to post in their thread and wait.  Which could account for the DragonMount Member, Member,

 

Also it could be due to post count. After a certain number you may get an additional title.

I shall indeed ask the orgs, did I read somewhere that you can join up to 3? if so I've got about 5 I want to join!

There is no limit on the number of ORGs you can join. Where did you read that you could only join 3 as that is very out of date and should be changed. I will bring it up in the DM Staff Board if you give me links etc.

 

Again, selecting something on your profile relates to an earlier version of DM - again, show me where this is and I will bring it up in the Staff Board. Most ORGs now have a sign in thread which you post in if you want to become a member, for example, in the Band of the Red Hand, it is the Raw Recruit thread.

 

As far as I understand (and believe), the difference between 'Dragonmount Member' and 'Member' is that you have been added to a usergroup here at DM, i.e. you have signed up for an ORG and/or a Division (RP).

 

 

oh, my, I'm afraid I cant for the life of me remember where I read it, I was reading loads of different forums trying to find stuff out before I figured it was more sensible to ask here :)
