David Hayter, writer of the first two X-MEN films, the WATCHMEN movie, and the voice of Solid Snake in the METAL GEAR games, is putting together a series based on the recent feature film PUSH.  The series will purportedly be an extension of the science-fiction thriller, centered on people with paranormal powers who band together to take down a corrupt government agency.

“Queer Like Folk” creator Russell Davies, who retired from running the BBC’s “Doctor Who” so he could move to Los Angeles and break into American show business, is developing for Fox an American version of his BBC “Who” spin-off “Torchwood.”

“Torchwood” follows covert investigators charged with keeping an eye on troublesome extraterrestrials.

If the American version goes to series, John Barrowman may reprise his role as Capt. Jack Harkness.

Perhaps, but I think it'd be more about the American branch of Torchwood and possibly have cameos by Captain Jack instead of him being a starring role. It wouldn't really fit for him to go to America.
