Yep, got called 'The Terminator' in college because of them.

I was preparing for the Pan-American Games in Taekwondo, I was sparring someone and let my guard down when I knocked them out of bounds, but they took a cheap shot at me. Cracked my orbital bone and maxillary. I went to the hospital 2 days later when the swelling didn't go down (figured something was broken) and the doctor didnt know how to fix it. Then I went to some super doc..after looking at me for 20 minutes, I had my surgery scheduled. Of course no one can tell i have plates in my face, unless I let them feel the certain area :P

Bad News was, I had to stop Taekwondo and Hapkido. Good news is, it didn't interfer with my sword fighting. My Grandmaster was pissed though...as I recall, the kid who did it got in serious trouble. Having a Grandmaster angry at you is not something I'd recommend.

Ha!  You think you can burn this place?!  This place has lasted more than a decade.  You can't do anything to this place.

  • Also, fry up some Spam and eat it on toast with a fried egg. Delicious

  • just ate dinner and i'm hungry again

hahaha! You're in a lot of activities, that is awesome!

So, if you travel, will you the metal detector off? Do you carry a paper that says you have metal plates in your head? :D

Well not so much anymore, too busy at work. :( Just collect stuff here and there, and continue with my kumdo and Italian longsword stuff on the side.

I get asked that question all the time  ;) And no, I don't set off the metal detector. Apparently they only pick up ferous metals.
