Disney/Pixar - Cars sequel

Featured Replies

Disney CEO Bob Iger has revealed that the Disney/Pixar "Cars" sequel, previously scheduled for June 24th 2011, has been delayed six months to sometime in December reports The BBC.

Revealing the information during the Walt Disney Company's first quarter 2010 earnings call Tuesday, the move now puts "Cars 2" square in the release period previously occupied by the company's "The Bear and the Bow".

It's expected that film will now likely be moved into 2012, but the details weren't confirmed. "Cars 2" revolves around Lightning McQueen and Mater competing in car races around the globe.

I actually liked Cars, I thought it was well animated and a good all-around movie.  It wasn't my favorite Pixar movie, but I'm looking forward to a well-made sequel.

Maybe it's because I have really high expectations of Pixar, but I really didn't enjoy Cars. I doubt I'll see the sequel.
