i think ovler is one of the heroes from the horn the way he is learning weapons and diceing from the band of the red hand. but i can not think of witch hero he might be. does any one know?

RJ himself said it I believe. Perhaps someone will provide you with the link. Something to do with how time runs in the world of dreams, and Olver being about 10 now makes it impossible if Gaidal was just recently spun out. Regardless it is pretty much fact that Olver does not equal Gaidal Cain.

Somewhere in this 3 threads, you'll see the evidence that Olver is NOT Gaidal. I am too lazy to rip them apart to find it for you :)

I stand corrected, I think if he even is bound to the horn then he's probably just some 'minor' hero or is somebody suggesting he's Hawkwing? :lol:

That's also not possible. Let's see... Hawking showed up when Mat blew the horn, and that's like 2-3 years ago, while Olver is already 10 years old. Time in TAR may slow down or speed up, but it doesn't run backward.

Olver can't be any of the Heroes that showed up when Mat blew the Horn, but what says that all existing Heroes was there? It's not like anyone stood with a list and ticked off the names.

 

So Olver might be a Hero that for obvious reasons never showed up at Falme. Or he might just be a little boy who happens to get himself involved with people able to give him all these skills he's picking up.

He may be a hero, I think he's gonna be a big player in the fourth age. The kind to have stories told about him. I mean probally when Mat is old, Olver will be a great person for the world.
