Has anyone seen the British tv show Spaced?  It's co-written by Simon Pegg, and stars him.  That's why I thought I would check it out.  It's decently funny, nothing spectacular.

 

The coolest episode by far is the 5th.  The whole episode is Star Wars themed and awesome.  There's even a scene where the characters infiltrate a compound to recover a stolen dog and everyone gets a code name from star wars and they set it up like the attack on the Death Star.  It's nerdily awesome.

 

It's like a mix between the X-Files, the Simpsons, and Northern Exposure

 

It is noted for its rapid-fire editing, frequent pop-culture references and jokes, eclectic music, and occasional displays of surrealism

After watching episodes 6 and 7, I've decided the show is pretty funny.  Those last two episodes were by far the best.  I will definitely be watching the second series. 

 

Both series are only 7 episodes each, and each episode is 30 minutes, so it's an easy watch.  The first season is definitely worth checking out.
