I still don't really get this game. Am I supposed to change my vote? Reading all of this... i get a feeling all of you guys who post the most are mafia!

Marta, you only have to vote for who you want to vote for. Usually you go for who seems the most scummy, but it's day 1 and hard to tell, so a lot of people do random picks.

We are nowhere near a lynch but every little vote counts

in Mafia, a good rule of thumb is assume everyone is mafia; unless you yourself ofcourse are scum ;)  don't worry, Day 1 is always a bit chaotic, as the days progress and we get more info the game will get somewhat easier to understand.  the best way to learn how to play is to throw yoruself into more and more games.  Mafia is better learned by playing.

 

don't let people pressure you into voting or not voting, your best ally is your gut.  if someone seems scummy to you then go with what ya know; the only time you know for sure who is teling the truth with a reveal is from the corner's report when their dead :)

Everyone should at least place a vote before the deadline. If not it could be you who sleeps.

 

I do want to point out one thing to all of you. In none of Boopsy's posts did he defend me at all. He and I are not masons and are not on a team. For all he knows I could be evil. I am not, but I wanted to point that out. I only revealed what I knew because it looked like you all started a bandwagon on him and since I had some info. I figured it would stop it. You can still lynch him if you want. I don't think it would be good for the town, but I can then say, "Told you so".  Sorry Boopsy about painting that target on you. I figured this being Disney Robin Hood would be the only one who could see it. Oops. I just wanted to see you actually last in a game. I suppose I didn't do a good job of that now did I? Sorry.

I have voted but if we get close to a majority on someone then I will vote for a lynch.  Before anybody says anything, I would rather have the lynch in our hands than being left up to the mod!

I can understand wanting to stop a lynch on someone you feel is innocent, but to half reveal when he had 3 or 4 votes max and needed 16 to get a lynch is a little too early in my book. Plus, sometimes even if you know an innocent because of your role, sometimes it's best to bit your tongue and let the lynch go ahead.

 

The main reason revealling on the first day is bad, is because it puts pressure on the Healer. If you do it and are town. You actually don't help the town if, because of it, you get yourself killed. I'm yet to see a game where revealing on the first day was helpful, except where someone is near to being lynched and they are finder or healer! (and by near I mean one or two off a lynch)

 

As for what Min said about Boopsy, she could be telling the truth or she could be mafia, because of course they know who the innocents are! Of course it could be they are linked in some way.

I don't see what wombat said as being suspicious, it was short and to the point. But that was it.

 

I can't say that I'm really up for voting someone just to get a reaction, because everyone will react dsifferently, not just to do with role, but mood, the day they have had etc. It just means you ahve jumped around and it's an easy place and reason for mafia to hide. I didn't see anything that said specifically why him, I feel that a lot of people have met the description you have given. But I may just be reading it wrong. ^^

I had no real reason for voting for Limi, and not getting any info on Day 1 of a game sucks. 

 

 

Plus, this is the weekend I get to go play army (yay me)  I may or may not have internet access, depending on where we will be sleeping.  I will be around for awhile tonight, but have to get up and go early tomorrow.
